懷石料理 at Ryokan in Nagano, nice experience, food tasted good, just that food were pre-set (ready) at the table for awhile, so they are not hot by the time we eat.

Found a coffee shop with premium sweets made in Shinshu (信洲) at Nagano station. Tried a pre-packaged cake, tasted good, it has Shinshu apples in it, taste fresh and it's 220 yen. Great small snacks along the way.

Delicious breakfast - Japanese soba. Glad to find a place that opens early on the weekend. Excellent value and great portion. Best thing is that they have menu outside with pictures, great for tourists.

First meal in Tokyo after a long day of flying - Japanese x Chinese (四川) fusion ramen. It was ok, soup broth were tasty, no MSG, but a bit pricey (1000 yen each bowl)

Breakfast before flying out to start my vacation. The waitress is nice to give a bonus Benedict to my bf, it supposed to come with 2 per plate 😆

The desserts were ok, but overpriced. The snacks were ok, but terribly small portion for the price. We tried 2 of their signature bulldog drinks (vitasoy milk with red beans and Canadians dry with fruits punch & popping Boba). The mixed sauce rice rolls with fish balls & siu mai was disappointing. It looked big on the menu pictures, but ended up being super small. The fresh made taro balls were the only surprised, tasted good.

Trying this new dimsum restaurant for the first time. Pretty impressive, fast service & friendly staffs, yummy food. Current promotion: 12% off for dimsum. If you order $50 (after discount), they give you the perigord truffle chicken (half) for $10. Overall we enjoyed the experience. Probably will come back again to try their dinner dishes.

Trying this Vietnamese fusion the first time. Loved their butter garlic chicken wings, they're crispy and juicy, very flavorful. Really liked the Vietnamese iced coffee with coconut milk, half sweet, it's creamy and delicious. The pho is ok, nothing special about their broth. Definitely wanna come back to try their other dishes next time. Things are on the pricey side, but good quality. It's a nice place to come once in awhile.

Made some creative dishes in the office today - Lunch: Fish balls with instant noodles (公仔撈麵配蝦丸魚蛋) and Dinner: Tom yum soup with fish balls and dumplings (冬蔭功湯餃子配魚蛋).

Trying their Yellow bowl (spicy salmon, scallops salad, seaweed salad, Yamaha, pineapple salsa, sweet corns, wasabi peas and wasabi mayo) and the Red grapefruit yakult green tea with aloe vera jelly from Boba boy Steveston.

Simple dinner at home. Sesame soy ginger vingertte marinaded chicken wings; pork chop; veggies and green tea lemonade.

Trying a new Chinese restaurant at Lansdowne mall. It's good, we liked it. We tried their signature beef noodles soup, some beef and lamb skewers. I liked their house made spicy sauce. Their noodles are also handmade in house. Will definitely go again with friends next time so that we could try the bigger dishes.

Delicious seafood buffet, lots of choices, reasonable price, but only open from 5:30pm to 8pm for dinner. Like their desserts, bite-size and not too sweet.

Having a wonderful dinner with my besties as birthday celebration for one of them. It's delicious, great atmosphere, and friendly staffs. The desserts were super delicious and different. We tried Brownr ice tea Creampuff with Genmaicha custard cream, and Yukimi Daifuku with Azuki red bean gelato and Hojicha gelato.

Surprisingly the fried chicken wings at this HK style cafe were delicious, it's a great late night snack.

Shared a Taiwanese shaved ice with Pearls, Mochi, Green Tea mochi and grass jelly with 2 girlfriends. 四寶刨冰 With 珍珠，小丸子，綠茶丸子同仙草. Delicious and satisfying.

Made lamb dumplings with homemade spicy Taiwanese beef & tomato soup and Korean sweet potato noodles.

Making Taiwanese beef noodles at home for the first time, using Instant Pot, it's delicious. Put a bit too much dried chilli therefore my bf thinks it's too spicy, but I loved it. Will try again with different cut of beef, and maybe tone down on the spicy level next time.

Trying this new ramen place for the first time. I enjoyed it, although I found the soup broth a bit salty. I liked the Shrimpy Dragon, the shrimp broth is different compared to the usual tonkatsu broth from everywhere else. Best to go during Happy Hour (3-5pm) for 30% off.

Trying out a new recipe - White pepper chicken soup, with pork balls and rice noodles (白胡椒雞湯貢丸米粉). Need to add more white pepper next time for stronger flavor. It's a good soup for winter.

Shared the Plenty bowl (2 protein), salad base, spicy ahi tuna and eastside salmon. Like their crunchy toppings (wasabi peas, dried noodles, chopped bacon strips, Edamame) and other common toppings (eggs, seaweed salad, pickled peppers, roasted tomatoes, white sesame, black sesame, tobiko), soy sesame vinegar dressing. They give generous portion of toppings, I really like their dressing.

Great tacos after shopping. Tried one of each: Al Pastor (chicken), Pollo (pork) and Carne Asada (steak). I liked the chicken and steak more. The pineapple jarritos was refreshing.

Have a strong fried chicken craving tonight, this is the closest option from office. I like the GardenCity location more. The spicy one tastes better than original; jalapeño bombers is always good. The fries were disappointing, it's cold and not fresh. I ordered all spicy, but they said they only have 2 pcs of spicy, so gave me a pcs of original as substitute. This location opens for 24 hours, if they ran out of spicy, shouldn't they cook more?! 🤔
