One final dim sum before we head to Malaysia. We also got pad kra pao and fried Thai bananas. The latter was so good, basically a banana donut. The owner here was very nice and we spoke with him while we ate about travels.

Dim Sum joint closest to our hotel which we selected for a quick bite before heading out. I think the dim sum was a little old as it was dried out. The rolled rice noodle was interesting though and the egg custard bun was awesome.

Delicious noodle joint going back 3 generations. We both got a beef noodle bowl with egg noodles and Tom Yum broth (can pick which noodles and broth you want). The fresh spring roll was very interesting - not fried, but in a soft airy noodle shell with a sweet gravy on top.

Super cute family run Thai joint on a corner near our hotel. I got the pad kra pao and Jordan went with the Tom yum soup. Papaya salad on the side along with fried taro which was fantastic - super crunchy.

Traditional southern Thai. We split the signature pork, best we've had in country 🏆, along with the sea bass sour curry. The curry was interesting with the unique sour taste. I just find picking bones out of fish such a pain. We may come back again for the pork.

Rich beef noodles soup with egg noodles. Lots of herbs and fresh basil for topping. Side of chrystathium iced tea. Perfect post transport lunch!

We both got the large pad kra pao with 3 meats. Oddly, the sausage was a hot dog, not what we expected. Good value, but overall flavor was mid. The fried chive cakes and longan tea were tasty though.

I don't know what cuisine this actually is, but it was delicious. Dessert roti to top off an epic food day. We went with the banana roti and coconut custard roti. The latter has actual pieces of coconut! With a flavorful and not too sweet pandan sauce.

Delicious beef noodle soup. Beef was tender and broth flavorful. They were out of egg noodles, so I went with the wide rice noodle - that's the only thing that would have made this perfect. And 60 bhat!

We came upon this open air dim sum joint on a whim, hot and hungry. I went with the curry with sticky rice which I should have realized would be small since it was 30 bhat. The rice was unique - dark and chewy and tasty. It worked out because then we ordered patong ko and an assortment of dim sum, all for 20 bhat a piece. The best of course was the salted egg bun full of caramel custard. We also went with Thai tea with a healthy layer of condensed sugar. I think we met our sugar quota for the day #worthit.

Wood fired pizza in Ao Nang - went with a 4 cheese (delicious gorgonzola) and a spicy salami. Sauce was on point as was the crust. Solid.

We went here 4 times during our stay. Legit Thai food at a great price point. Highlights were the laab, panang and massamam curries, and morning glory.

Maybe the best value Thai in Ao Nang? And delicious. Highlight was Jordan's Tom Yum soup which came with wontons!

Okay. We got pad kra pao with a side of papaya salad. A bit pricey for the portion size.

May & Zin delivered the most flavorful curries of our Ao Nang stay (panang and massamam). Rich and packed with Thai spices. The side of mushrooms were also excellent.

This place became our breakfast staple in Ao Nang for the curry, egg, and roti with a fruit side. The roti was so buttery and flaky.

Really solid khao soi (along with morning glory and laab). Rich spices without overwhelming coconut milk. More crispy egg noodles instead of cooked egg noodles which was interesting, but kind of fun.

So many Indian restaurants to choose from. Curry House was solid, just not spicy and for the cost, didn't quite hit right.

Delicious eggs, curry, and roti. Roti was crispy and buttery.

Chicken schwarma from a Uzbek stand in a Thai food court next to a mosque. A little small but tasty - tortilla was soft and chewy and I enjoyed the cheese addition.

Panang curry again with more coconut milk which I loved. Didn't quite hit the spice level. Mushrooms were awesome 🍄.

Delicious panang curry with sticky rice (with some spice), laab, and mixed veg. Good portion size and overall value.

Roti with eggs and split a fruit bowl. The roti came with a nice curry sauce but overall portion size was small for the price and we left hungry.

Simple yet flavorful beef noodle bowl at a local stand in ao nang. One of the few local joints we've found.

We ate at Nuri's twice and loved it. Pictured is a stir fried noodle plate but we also had a green curry and fruit/yogurt/museli bowl. Great value and family run.
