Today was the DAY! Knowing how I love fresh herbs, a friend told me that I needed to try the Banh Mi at Jeff’s Table in Highland Park. Having known about Jeff’s Table for sometime now, I just haven’t had the chance to get there for lunch. TODAY was that day, AND I took my friend’s recommendation and ordered the PORK BANH MI. With thin-sliced roast pork shoulder, carrot/daikon pickle, Persian cucumber, cilantro, mint, shaved jalapeño, aioli and Jeff's fermented hot sauce on the sammie roll. It was a delicious banh mi, especially for me all of the fresh cilantro and mint.
