Pleasant burger meal. The burger overall and meat patty was juicy and taste balanced with caramelized onions. The “American cheese” tasted somewhat similar to gruyere, would be better if there’s more flavor. USDA Beef patty is decent but not the best USDA blend flavor (could have less black pepper) Brioche is alittle soft and turn soggy easy.
Fried chicken, on the other hand, not so good. The meat was not thawed properly or insufficient time, so there’s still frozen taste (and blood water) near the bones. The skin, although crispy was alittle hard. The batter marinate lack flavor and slightly sweet. Commendable was that the chickens are fried on order, so the chicken is juicy when served. But bad thawing spoilt the meal.
While the chickens are fried on order, resting should also be an important process before serving. It is rather difficult to eat when the chicken is piping hot and especially greasing with hot chicken oil when crackling the skin open, which is quite frustrating. Maybe fried chickens should also consider a short resting time in the kitchen, partly to cool down the chicken, and also to let remaining heat render into the meat.
