I guess you could say I'm addicted. I fully intended to order the shoyu but the savory smell of the tori paitan hit my nose, and so I opted for the old reliable. I promise I'll try something different next time I visit!

Looooong line for dim sum but worth it. I needed my jook and dumplings.

First time I made the pasta bake. Think I'll pass on the crunchy topping next time; it was rich enough as it is. A side of zucchini with basil from my little basil plant.

Lived up to its billing. The broth was richly flavored and creamy but surprisingly balanced and not at all heavy. I tasted chicken and marrow in the broth as well as a delicate top note of katsuo-bushi. The chashu was fall apart tender. Recommend, especially if you can find an off time and beat the line.

Got takeout on a rainy day after an intense workout. The salty savoriness of the chicharron pupusa is really hitting the spot.

A home-cooked meal to end the night. Lamb chops are quick and easy to cook.

I was craving more latkes today. Cooked them in bacon grease, so not kosher but delicious. I added herring to some of them. It was a nice combo.

I made latkes Russian style and a Cajun style crab boil!
