Generous portions at this restaurant that is one block off the main road along the port. The pork belly wasn't very tender but the vegetables were delicious.

The stuffed peppers here are so delicious. The calamari was tender with a light, crisp batter. The seasoning was faint, but salt and lemon fixed that.

The stuffed tomatoes had too much rice for me but the saganaki appetizer was on point.

Gyros are cheap (never more than €2) and filling fare in Greece. This was a great find in the Little Venice area of Mykonos, which is the most expensive place in the entire country due to tourism.

One of my favorite restaurants I went to on my trip. The island of Naxos is famous for its potatoes. And they're good! Yellow-fleshed and buttery, they remind me of Yukon Golds. The sea bream was one of the fresh fish available that day. Deliciously and simply prepared.

Gelato to console myself after my iPhone was stolen... at least I was in a cell phone store when I realized it happened... Flavors are mascarpone & fig, baklava, ricotta. (For some reason I can't edit the caption on this cheap Android phone I got. Oh well I'll upload my pics when I get back)

Everything was delicious here and reasonably priced compared to the tourist traps of Oía, which is beautiful and about a 10-15 minute walk away. This restaurant is in nearby Finikiá, up a meandering, pedestrian-only path along the hills. It's hard to find but worth it.

This place was in the touristy section of Oía, Santorini; I just wanted the free wifi! But the eggplant was very good. I'd pass on the dolmades though.

Chain cafe with healthy food that you can find all over Athens. This one was in the metro station right next to the port.

Well priced little seafood place in an alley in the centrally located Psirri/Gazi district.

A welcome icy drink while enduring 102 F weather just before entering the Parthenon.

Octopus was too chewy for me but the moussaka was excellent. Well located in the Plaka district near all the tourist attractions.

This place was open late and crowded with locals. Always a good sign. Good food and a convivial atmosphere.
