New joint right around the corner!
It's rare to find joints like these opening up in the corners of Muzha. But a few just like have sprouted out within walking distance. So what's not to love!
Specialising in Beer and Craft Beer, Taiwan Bistro offers an interesting selection of local Taiwan craft beer. Surprised to see this niche market growing in Taiwan, I ordered a few to get a feel of the market.
Generally, the Taiwanese taste bud seems to favour fruity selections (such as Longan, Apple, Green Tea, etc.) but I wanted to start with the "alcoholic's selection".
酒花炸彈 is a light blonde IPA, with a floral bouquet of flavours. While still bitter (which is what I like about IPA), the floral accents make it lighter and slightly more palatable. A nice selection of the ladies who like a bit more punch at 10%. Like this very much! Especially the fact that it feels "lighter" than normal IPA, so it doesn't leave me feeling full and bulgy.
Wanting to venture more to the "Dark Side", I was recommended the Dark Ale also from "Jim & Dad's" (a craft brewery in I-Lan). Still smooth and silky, but not as frothy as the Irish kind. Very fresh accents of wheat, but it lacks the character I like in beer, and it feels slightly "watery" compared to usual Dark Ale.
Gotta go test others soon!
