It’s Sandwich Saturday! This maybe my all time favorite sandwich… Coco Bread Jerk Chicken Sandwich from Caribbean Gourmet in San Gabriel, Today Only. Besides the Jerk Chicken, what makes this sandwich great is the bread. The bread is soft and buttery, also known as “butter flap” in Guyana. Served with a cabbage slaw and spicy jerk seasoning on the chicken. The chicken was tender and well seasoned served in a soft buttery flap, which was all house-made for this sandwich by Chef Yonette. Just enough of a kick to make it interesting, it’s a great sandwich. This time, I was able to share with two of my friends from out-of-town.
