Mita’s is my favorite tapas place. Inspired by Latin American and Spanish cuisine, the food here is not only delicious, but also interesting.
Colifor asada (5/5): cauliflower was roasted just right. The sauce is very impressive- perfect combination of gentle tanginess and a touch of sweetness (from romesco and sherry gastrique). Rhubarbs became marinated by the sauce and got very tasty too.
Espanada de res con pique (4/5): Filled with tender short rib and onion, the espanada was not doughy and flavorful. The cilantro sauce was mild yet refreshing, not overwhelming but gave whole dish a lift.
Chicharrón (4/5): Guilty pleasure food for me! Pork belly deep fried till super crispy, topped with sea salt and lime. It certainly tasted perfect on the fatty side - inevitably, a bit hard on the rind.
Ceviche de camarones (4/5): Ceviche is a must try for me too. Typical ceviche with nice citrus flavor, and the plantains came with it was delicious - not too greasy, not too thick.
Pulpo (3.5/5): To be honest I didn’t like the octopus, but the potato espuma that came with it was heavenly.
