🇨🇦 Souris
The Inn at Bay Fortune - Five Star Luxury Inn
Canadian
One of the top Chef’s of Canada Michael Smith has put together the most extraordinary dining experience. It’s not just about Farm to table but educational about the farm and the food. While it is expensive it is worth it. The whole experience is about 5-6 hours. After introductions you get educated on the farm. Then in the outside grilling area you try multiple oysters and appetizers. Then you will go inside for the meal while you can watch the chefs prepare and cook your meal. You will need to book probably a year out and get a room so you can explore on your own the grounds. Greatest culinary experience I have ever been on.

🇨🇦 Charlottetown
Sims Corner Steakhouse & Oyster Bar
Steakhouses
This steak and oyster house was outstanding. Not as large as you might think so reservations are a good idea. Steak was cooked to perfection. Burger was tender. The sticky date pudding was recommended to us and was incredible. The ice cream topping is from COWS which they make specifically for this desert and cannot get anywhere else. Must try in Charlottetown!

2 Lapins
Bakery
Great French bakery directly across from the ferry terminal. Not only can you get great pastries but also great little sandwiches to go. When going they close from 12:30. - 2:30 like every one else on the island. So if you want a sandwich make sure you get there before they close for lunch.

🇨🇦 St. John's
Blue On Water
Seafood
This should be number one choice in St Johns! Food was incredible and best restaurant staff ever. Staff always cleared silverware after each course. When debating the two special fish dishes I told the server I don’t know. I like the way one was prepared but wanted to get the Cod. The server said that is no problem. The scallop dish was considered the best she had ever had.

🇨🇦 St. John's
The Merchant Tavern
Canadian
Many articles rate this the best restaurant in St Johns and it did not disappoint. We tried the short rib tacos as an appetizer. What was amazing was the shell. When inquiring about it they told us that it was sourced directly from Mexico. The Italian and seafood dishes were great. Can’t go wrong here for dinner in St Johns.

What an incredible place in the middle of nowhere. Great views of the ocean. One customer brought binoculars to see whales. Farm to table with emphasis on seafood. Squid was grilled perfect with a great bbq flavor. Rolls were incredible. If in the area it is a must stop , but make sure to make a reservation. We got the last table of the night.

🇨🇦 Mabou
The Red Shoe
Seafood
This restaurant is known for their great Acadian Irish music but their food is just as great. We started out with the Hummus and bruschetta appetizer. This was a huge surprise for something so ordinary. It was the best Hummus I’ve ever had. Come to find out it is an old family recipe of the chef who was from the Middle East. The Halibut was prepared perfectly pan seared and the fish & chip also had a light batter flakiness. The music was great. The restaurant is located in the small town of Mabou in Cape Breton.

🇨🇦 Chéticamp
L'abri café, restaurant et bar
Seafood
What a great restaurant in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia at northern section of Cape Breton Island. Seafood is fresh caught right there in Cheticamp. The food was old French Canadian family recipes with modern twists. The home made rolls were incredible and the special lemon tart was not tart at all. It was something from a true French pastry chef..

🇨🇦 Halifax
The Bicycle Thief
ItalianVenetian
It was rated the best in Halifax and surely lived up to its reputation. The scallops were probably the best in Nova Scotia. Everything was prepared to perfection. The staff was probably the best trained I have seen in a while. After each dish your silverware was replaced with new. Must stop in Halifax for seafood or Italian.

Great atmosphere, I tried the Hake Marsala which was fantastic. The Marsala sauce was very good. I wish more Italian restaurants could make a Marsala sauce as good as theirs. Great old fashion feel but in renovated building in heart of Salem. Good New England comfort seafood.
