Writing this in 2023 so don’t remember specifics about tastes or what we got. Just pics and places at this point Hard to know how many thumbs up to give. Waited outside for food and ate on the go. Covid. This was on our quick trip to Joshua tree.

The place is called Refill It was during covid so we had to get take out through a little window. Traffic wasn’t great. Writing this in 2023 so don’t remember specifics about tastes or what we got. Just pics and places at this point. We were on our way to Joshua tree for a short stint before meeting Terri back in San Diego

I got a cold brew, grazing goat and blues brother Ian got a deli wrap with chicken and cheddar and a banana nut Dwayne got the veggie gone wild and cheesecake with Nutella, and berry drizzle. Dessert crepes were better then savory ones. I liked my savory but the concept of salad on top of crepe was interesting.

Pumpkin spice latte Woodstock bowl (was missing sautéed kale and kraut but I wasn’t told ahead of time) Was too spicy for me. Rachelle for the magical mint smoothie and the Aztec bowl and liked both

Nice experience with people we love! After cadence...pumpkin cinnamon roll (better than regular one). Cold Green latte with coconut milk wasn’t sweet at all so just ok. Kara got dirty chai, reported it was good. Caleb got grit bowl and was wanting it to be like mine so disappointed but he would go again but order different. I think Kara and Irene and Dwayne liked their breakfasts. I got a parfait. It was good.

Irene for masked mocha. Caleb got plain latte. I got a cherry mocha and Dwayne a plain mocha.

Sweet corn tamale cakes are awesome as usual. Irene loved her crispy chicken costeletto and her red velvet cheesecake. My California omelet was ok. Instead of toast I asked for a veggie and was told there would be an up charge for asparagus. I got the bill and was charged 6.95 for 6 asparagus. I also had asked to sub goat cheese for jack cheese and I wasn’t told it would cost and it cost 2. So my attempt to get an inexpensive omelet over fish didn’t pan out. I did complain about this and the manager removed $5ish. I got a mocha in effort to assuage my sweet craving without cheesecake. Had two bites of Irene’s. It was good. The mocha just ok. Happy birthday Irene.

Date night after giving blood. Coconut soup is good but Dwayne says it’s salty. He got pad Thai but likes sweet basil and Thai chili’s better. I got masaman and liked it fine with added veggies and tofu.

I got pad see u and cienna for pad Thai without egg. Got the Tom ka coconut soup. All was good and $30 with tip for lunch.

Dwayne got evelyns favorite pasta again. I tried the impossible taco salad and ordered vinaigrette on the side. Used it the sauce that comes with the avocado egg rolls. Very cherry ghirardelli cheesecake. Enjoyed but seemed on the skimpy side to me.

I liked my moscato. They brought us the wrong the bruschetta which was so spicy it hurt. They then brought us the correct one and claimed the red sauce was spicy but it wasn’t at all. It was great. It was supposed to come with a cheese but didn’t. The cauliflower crust pizza was good and the flourless chocolate cake not bad. Just under $50 felt a little pricy for what we got.

Not the best beyond burger I’ve had. Friend okra was good. Deviled eggs ok. Salad good. A bit pricey for what we got.

Dwaynes Potine was great. Liked my house salad and fish and chips. Liked fish and chips the night before better. But this was good.

Great view, lighthouse out the window. I got a poppy (poptart). Peanut butter batter Smoothie bowl in a cup meant not much of it. It wasn’t bad. Didn’t love my loaded toast with tomato and goat cheese. Dwayne’s “breakfast sandwich without bacon add avocado” liked his muffin.

Got a specialty drink but don’t remember the name. Was good. Dwayne got a mocha I think.

Dwayne loves his simple but classic grilled white fish. I loved my fish and chips. Was not supposed to be charged for a salad but they weren’t very knowledgeable about what came with what and charged us for something they said came with our meal. We didn’t argue it.

Smoked whitefish dip just ok. I liked my whitefish Reuben and Dwayne liked his fish and chips ok as well. Sweet potato tots ok as well. I was supposed to get fries but she must have forgotten so we let it go.

Vegetarian pasties ordered ahead just so so.

Liked my coffee a lot and donuts weren’t bad. I’d go again.

Unusual flavors made in house. Not bad maybe lacked a bit of flavor.

I got crepes ad Swiss and Dwayne for egg foo young minus ham. It was ok. Asked for more Hollandaise sauce bc the drizzle wasn’t enough and I got charged 1.50 for a very small amount more without being told I would be.

Taking these two to Nashville airport on the way out of town for our road trip. Dwaynes toast wasn’t super special. I got morning shred and so did Caleb. We talked Kara into Aztec but turns out she doesn’t like lime vinaigrette and didn’t use much of it so didn’t like her dish like we do. Magical mint smoothie was magical.

Got the Nutella açaí bowl but with a nutty coco monkey base. Was rich but good.

Bagel roll, spring rolls, pad see eu without egg, mine was a veggie dish I can’t remember nAme of. Got a moscato cosmos rocks. Sweet and light not very alcoholly
