My aunt made the soup but I made the rest: boiled egg, rice noodles, and fish cake. This is so much better homemade than what you find in the restaurants.

Delicious meal with sustainable seafood, reasonably priced wine ($22 for a half bottle), and yummy desserts. Portion sizes were generous and the flavors were all on point. I would definitely go back here again!

Friday is burrito day!

Got my usual at Sushirrito. It’s kind of pricey but the tastiest of the sushi burrito options downtown. (The Kome truck is the most expensive however with a $16 or $17 sushi burrito that doesn’t even have particularly inventive combinations or superior ingredients.)

I like roasting a whole chicken for a relatively quick and easy week night meal. And you get a ton of leftovers!

Perfect cure for this dreary day. It’s not great ramen, but what can you expect for a weekday lunch in the FiDi...

Oh man, the handmade noodles were nearly as good as Shan Dong in Oakland but there just wasn’t enough meat in the dish. It’s so close to perfection though. The chili wonton are just okay; the best in the city are still at Z&Y!

Fancy Mexican restaurant that’s the sister restaurant of Contramar in Mexico City. Some of the dishes were hits, some misses. The guajillo broth was extremely burned and bitter, but the signature trout tostada dish was on point. Enjoyed my mezcal cocktail too.
