Good food and service. It's very popular, especially since it's been recently refurbished.

The Diner
Diner
American diner with all day breakfast. I love their freak show chicken because I like boneless chicken and sauce on the side unlike their chicken wings covered in hot sauce and blue cheese sauce on the side.

This is my second favourite ramen joint. Their soup base is seriously flavourful, but the cha siu is a little lacking.

This place is amazing. I'm very surprised about their Bing Su because it really is shaved iced and flavoured all the way through. I've tried others where the shaved ice just taste of ice and nothing else. Their roll cake is also flavourful.

Great Korean place. The night I went, they were understaffed, but they really were flying off their feet to get to everyone. It's good food and spicy!!

Reindeer Cafe
Chinese
With Bang Bang opening relatively near by, the queues for this place has died down. The food is standard for plate food. What was surprising was that the was a lot of meat and egg in the congee which was a great plus! (We did however want something light but enjoyed in none the less). The price for food here is much better than Bang Bang.

Great green tea Bing Su! Flavour goes all the way throughout and doesn't taste of just ice.

Heat on the grill was too hot and burnt the grill on the first run, but the staff were great and spotted it before I made another mishap and changed it out. After that it was smooth sailing and enjoying all the different meats.

Maybe avoid the gyu don next time. The beef was shredded to tiny pieces and pickled ginger was mixed in which kinda got in the way. The fried chicken was good and so was the katsu curry.

I believe this place does Chinese style Japanese ramen. The ramen was slightly thicker and soup was lighter.

Great Chinese deserts for a fantastic price. This place has been around for over 15 years, but it's a hidden gem.

"Upstairs Downstairs" is their brand, which means, don't expect friendly service. The food is good and for a cheaper price compared to the rest of Chinatown. I love their won ton noodles.

Bufle
Ice Cream Shop
I'm sorry to say but bubble waffle from here is over rated. I should have realised when the place was mostly empty. They make the egg waffle fresh, and put the ice cream and other topping straight away. However, the hot egg waffle and cold ice cream is a interesting mix, but it melts quickly and the egg waffle falls apart very quickly because the cream is just going into the waffle.

The Shan State

Boba Jam then Mont Ruby Tea, and now It's called Shan State. The deserts are good here but I wish they didn't charge so much. I'm not keen on the latest decor and I wish they'd open downstairs instead of cramming everyone upstairs on the main floor. I'd still go, but I have been looking for a new hangout spot.

My favourite ramen place. It's above another shop but their signage is misplaced and not many people know it's up there or even how to get there because the stairs are at the back. I love this hidden gem. The soup is really deep and portion sizes are good. Their sides and also decent. This is one of 2 places I know who do rain drop cake, but this is the only one with complimenting sauces.

Wan Chai Corner
Chinese
This is one of my favourite Chinese places. They do good portioned sized food and don't mess around with any fancy presentation. The price is now comparable to the rest of Chinatown only because they've had to refurbish due to a fire that happened last year and they've newly reopened. I come here to get most of my Chinese food needs and to support them.

Burgista Bros
Burger Joint
Sorry, won't be coming here again. The burger patty was falling apart as I was biting into it and it was far overlooked and I wasn't sure what I was tasting. I think the sauce inside was to cover up whatever they had in there. Service was also pretty bad and the place was next to empty. I do feel sorry for the cashier, it looked like they were short staffed and she was having to do everything. Including clearing away a lot of half eaten burgers on empty seats.

BobaJam - Soho
Dessert Shop
Nice new place, but it's kinda cramped and they don't seem to know what's meant to go with the desert. The Bing Su I had tasted of mostly ice. I basically had melon on ice. The matcha layered cake was very good. I was wondering why they gave me maple syrup. The last one was a make it yourself Bing Su where everything else was on the side and again, not enough sauce. It just tasted like ice. I'll have to go back again and try some others to see what's good here.
