I’m a British born Chinese and I love to eat with friends. More friends = more food to try out.

A love curry, but I’m afraid of spicy food. The spiciness from this had a kick but was still tasty. I liked my chicken tikka roll.

Ink Fish Bar
Fish & Chips
Expensive fish and chips which I wish they served on a real plate. I spent some time having to pick out the pink paper. The sauces all tasted the same except for the orange one which was chilli.

Taro
Japanese
Cheap and cheerful Japanese food. Don’t go for the sushi, the sushi rice is overpacked and kinda stodgy. Everything else was tasty and hearty.

Good Korean food. Apparently it’s meant to serve authentic Korean food. Sadly, the person ordering decided not to order any and we lost out.

Yorica!
Ice Cream Shop
I love this shop because the ice cream they make is vegan. This means that I don’t have to worry about lactose. What I do have to worry about is flavour combination. I have mango and salted caramel. They do not go together. The chocolate I had before was much better with salted caramel.

Mamasons Dirty Ice cream
Ice Cream Shop
Ice cream was good but it doesn’t quite go well with the bread part. It quickly becomes soggy. They also need something visual, colour or description to tell people what the flavours really are. Everyone asks the same question because the names have no meaning if I’m not Filipino. They must get tired from being asked the same question over and over.

Very surprised that they have a vegan pizza. This helps a lot because I’m lactose intolerant and I got to enjoy the pizza with no issues.

This place is great. The service is amazing. From what I’ve gathered is that they’re a chain and have refined the hot pot experience. You order from an iPad. The hot pot is almost level with the table so you don’t have to peek over a rim to get to the food. There’s also a subtle air vent around the hot pot to suck up the evaporated soup. There’s a full selection of dipping sauces and much more for you to enjoy the experience. I highly recommend going, but it’s popular so there may be an hour long waiting or more.
