Last meal feed kids before the real chef heads home. My take on Taiwanese tomato beef ‘noodle’ without the fat noodles we don’t like. Instead pasta or rice. Tons of Veges and initial chicken stockz They liked it!

This was surprise. Pic don’t do justice. Eddy’s Cantina in suburbia taipei, Tienmu, is a gem. Really, I mean very tasty authentic Mexican. Fresh, clean, even somewhat addictive, the sour cream. My kids love the soft shell tacos and ask for it. Again, not what you’d expect in Taiwan, not mention Taipei, not mention in suburban area, but dare I say, one of the best Mexican places I’ve had, including California. Yeah. I said it. Check it out, they got 2 locations.

Wonderful 1st meal in Boston at Oisshi. Not traditional, few hew dishes, generally worked well, despite overall too saucy/heavy for us, still innovative and delicious. Never tried before dished include the edamame soufflé, broiled truffle edamame and monk fish sushi. The Maine pale ale was also excellent, as was the seaweed salad with sesame toppings. Worth a try.

Memorable first meal in Amsterdam at Breda. Fusion French kudos to chef for creating creative unique flavors we never tasted before such as bell pepper gazpacho, veal tartare and sweet pea based desserts. Def try if here!

Took folks to this 2 Michelin lunch. All decent except Dover sole which was fishy and bland and what sucked was another $42 premium to the $52 two course set

Soup heaven 咸菜苦瓜汤 Pic may not look like much but this is bowl of bliss. My folks salty vegetable bitter melon soup, flavored with dried oysters, squid, fresh pork and soy beans. Simmer overnight as all good Cantonese soups. Great Canto soup has many diverse (some say weird) ingredients working together to create cacophony of flavors. An orchestra. This soup is that. Soft texture from the veges, crunch from squid and beans. Amazing full flavor soup, Salty, bitter, sweet. I had 3 bowls

Kimchee the real deal. One of my favorite hearty, healthy breakfasts ESP after late night of poker or drinking or whatever. Grandma Choi's totally fresh kimchees made mostly w veges from her garden and steaming goregumtang oxtail soup. Yummi.

Another delicious, ssatisfying home cook meal thanks got Grandma Choi. All fresh home made Kimchi's, Yummi, really Yummi pork bone soup for breakfast.

Best Japanese meal deal so far in Taiwan (maybe anywhere) all above 10 plus courses for NT1100 or about $40! This is not conveyor belt this is quality stuff prepped fresh by trained chefs. Hole in wall 8!seats though due to popular demand they added another 8 next door. Need book way advance and prepay cash. Def going back
