Some before and after photos from a packaged food shoot. We have to use only the product that comes from the packages, nothing else is allowed on the plate. It's kind of magical, what we do!

We had a super fun shoot with Heather Winters yesterday. We wanted to make hobo chic food; highly processed food that tastes pretty awful -- we wanted the food to look beautiful but rustic. I think we did it! I've always wanted to do a satirical version of the (way too) popular crowded overhead shot. I'm very happy with the way this came out. You have to look closely before you notice what the food actually is. I had no idea what canned smoked oysters smelled like-- AWFUL!

We had a fun shoot for Foster Farms chicken today.

Our latest article for DIY Weddings Magazine featuring our own recipes and photos. We called it "How to Throw Your First Dinner Party as a Married Couple."

Rancho La Puerta, where we are fortunate enough to teach every year, is a beautiful, low-key spa. The food is mostly vegetarian but with some seafood and shellfish included.

Fabulous trip with my (Cindie's) mom. We didn't have one so-so meal--they were all great!

We got to make some super strange food for a web commercial for 5 Gum. The food was supposed to look appetizing but taste disgusting. Deviled eggs with liverwurst, cold snail tacos, pickled herring dipped in sweet batter and fried, served with raspberry jam, jelly donut filled with ketchup, and a chocolate cookie sandwich filled with span and anchovies. Eww, eww, eww! But it was everything the production company asked for and they were over the moon with happiness. And the boys, YouTube stars who's names I can't remember, were great sports. I gave them Alia Seltzer at the end of the day.

Food and sights from Istanbul last year. The people were unfailing gracious and the food out of this world! What a stunning city.

Fun satellite media tour with Donald Faison for The Pork Board. He's so nice! Food was not edible; it sat out for 8 hours before we went live and 7 more hours during the interviews. Stinky!
