$7.50 Matcha Latte w/ Black Sesame Cloud Okay, the black sesame cloud was yummy! Great black sesame flavor and was lightly sweetened. However, the matcha latte itself was not sweet at all :( Thankfully, Bruin Buzz has free sugar packets, so I added some and it was MUCH better. Matcha isn’t high-quality, but honestly, I’m not very picky about quality as long as it tastes like matcha, which it did haha. Overall, not bad!

$7.74 (cash discount, original price is $8.09) Joe-Latti with Bada Bing Cherry Bro… I’ve waited 8 long years to try Joe’s again, and today was finally the day I got to eat it again!! Not sure how much of a role nostalgia played, but ugh, the Joe-Latti was heavenly. My parents tried it and they weren’t huge fans LOL, although my mom really liked the cherry flavor of the italian ice! Whatever though, more for me ;) Wish it wasn’t so pricey, but as an occasional treat, I’d def get again!

$7.50 Apple Pie Matcha with Toffee Cloud Not the greatest picture LOL, but this was so yummy! Tasted exactly like apple pie and toffee. Not strong matcha flavor, but still, so tasty. Sweetness level is perfect for me!

Pastrami French Dip Sandwich Sandwich is a bit small, but for paying only $5, pretty good! Wish there was more pastrami in it. Au jus was decent, it’s my first time trying this, so not sure how “authentic” au jus is supposed to taste like lol. Still, I enjoyed it!

BYO Poke Bowl I chose tuna as my main protein and kimchi, edamame, and bean sprouts as my sides. There is rice on the bottom. I added some sriracha mayo which helped the flavor a lot. Honestly, it was just okay! The rice was warm which was a bit off-putting. Fish quality was good for me, but taste was plain. I wish they marinated it in a soy-based sauce or something. Not bad for a college dining hall. Not sure I’d get it again, but it’s good for a quick lunch.

Spumoni + Peanut Butter Cup Excuse the slightly melted gelato photo lol. Spumoni had good flavor but it was slightly icey. Peanut butter cup was good but wish the peanut butter flavor was more prominent. Not sure I’d get these flavors again.

Pictured: - Honey Walnut Shrimp: 5/5. Bro why was this actually so good?? It was actually crispy and I like that they didn’t drench it in sauce LOL. Walnuts were sweet and crisp. - Banh xeo: 1/5. This was not it 😭 It was rubbery and didn’t even have shrimp or pork in it. It’s supposed to be crispy!! The flavor was there but execution was bad. - Thai fried chicken sandwich: 3/5. Honestly, I liked it! However, I could only eat one and I’d be good. - Black pepper tofu: 4/5. This was GOOD. It was crispy, although I wish the black pepper was more prominent!! I should’ve gotten more of this lol. - Chicken (i forgot the flavor): 2/5 Mehhh, it’s alright. I didn’t eat the whole thing lol.

2nd time trying Cava! First time, I ordered a pita and thought it was okay. This time, I ordered a bowl, and THAT’S WHERE THEY SHINE. I forgot what I ordered, but my god, it was heavenly. I don’t know what they put in their sauces, but it was CRACK. Cava > Chipotle ANY SINGLE FRICKIN’ DAY.

Spicy Tuna Bowl I think I’m not the biggest fan of finely minced spicy tuna. Texture is fine for me, but I prefer pieces/cubes of raw fish instead. I added the seaweed salad, and as per usual, so good. Seaweed salad is always a favorite of mine!

Matcha Strawberry Parfait Omg they literally need to make this a permanent menu item at The Study 😭 It was so yummy, perfect sweet treat after studying! The matcha was bitter, but I honestly love bitterness in matcha lol. Strawberry soft serve tasted like strawberry! The toppings were perfect although the red bean paste was cloyingly sweet lol. Overall, LOVED IT.

Poke Bowl from Rendezvous!! Literally they make the best poke bowls on campus. Fish is actually marinated, and you get to choose several sauces and toppings of your choice. Of course, it’s not the BEST poke you’ll ever had, but you’ll be happy with it.

California Burrito First time trying a California Burrito! Not sure if UCLA is the best place to try it at LOL, but I enjoyed it! I loved the fries in the burrito, I wish California Burritos were more common in other cities besides SD!

Vanilla Bean + Raspberry Sorbet This combo is DELICIOUS. Saw this recommended by someone on Reddit LOL, and man… glad I followed their advice. It tastes super similar to Rita’s/Joe’s Italian ice with soft serve. I need to get this again fr.

Wintermelon Matcha TEDxUCLA Drink Special back in May 2026. This literally exceeded my expectations lol. Never had this combo before, but it needs to be more common!! Good matcha flavor and wintermelon flavor was PROMINENT. Yum yum.
