For quick stop for some croquettes at the seaside we went to madame kroket. A cool concept overall but the tastes were just fine. I had the 3 cheeses and a shrimp one. Solid bites, but i don't think i will be visiting again.

Went out with some friends to visit the home of James Ensor. After we had lunch at Café du parc, and it lives up to it's reputation. The lovely interior went well with the lovely food we had. I had the Seabass which came fresh from the morning fish market, paired with some vagetables, shrimps, and some of the best mashed potatoes i have ever tasted. A bit more pricey than i would normally go to, but definitely worth it!

A staple in my life, i love Gyros Gent and i love the service. I had the halloumi pita and WOW: the halloumi was grilled to perfection, the vegetables were fresh, and the sauces so fragrant. Love love love.

Finally tried out a hojicha at Kage in BXL. I found the quality of the hojicha and matcha very good, however i think i am just not really a hojicha/matcha person. However if you are one, you should check this place out.

Went out with a friend to check out this vegetarian asian fusion place and absolutely loved it. I had the Buddha bowl and she oicked the pho. Both were delicious and plentiful. I especially liked the kimchi pancake included in the bowl. If you're looking for a quick and healthy lunch in bxl centre i would recommend coming here!

PHENOMENAL. I absolutely love mastellen and these did not dissapoint. See you next year 😘.

A good ice cream shop is defined by how well they make their vanilla ice cream, and San Pietro definitely passed the test. I devoured mine before i could even take a picture hahahaha. I had a scoop of stragiatella and mango-abrikoos ice cream and i was wowed. Crazy how i have passed this shop so many times and this is the first time i visited. They make their ice creams fresh in shop and this is definitely reflected in the taste. I will be back!

Had an amazing afternoon picking some seasonal fruits (elderberries, raspberries, blackberries, and grapes) with some friends. After we had the elderberry-apple and blueberry-apple fresh juices with a piece of blueberry tarts. So yummy! Everything was fresh and the service was super.

I decided to visit this restaurant after 10 years (maybe because it seemed like such a basic food spot in Ghent?). I think everyone living in Ghent has been to Lucy Chang because it is such a staple of the city, i think it is also the first and maybe only introduction for many locals to asian food. The menu is plentiful, with a mix of different asian cuisines. We had the garlic chicken bowl and a portion of chow mein. Unfortunately they dissapointed us a bit, the chicken was soggy and the noodles were too oily. For the price that you pay (about 18-19 euros per dish) I find that there are better asian food spots in the city centre. The service was also not that great (definitely bot disastrous but we felt a bit ignored). Overall my memory is now refreshed and i now know why i did visit for 10 years (maybe in another 10 years i will forget the taste of the food here again and have another visit)

I had seen some videos online about this restaurant and they seemed to serve "authentic" Xi'an cuisine (think biangbiangmian, roujiamo,....) I had the beef and tomato biangbiangmian and the iced lemon osmathus tea. I absolutely loved the iced tea (it reminded me a bit of 红冰茶, and was thus perfect for the summer heat). The noodles however were just average (especially when expecting an "authentic" taste), they were a bit too thick and the sauce was lacking in flavour. I did however enjoy the beef as it was very tender and tasty.
