Solid food, decent service

Portion sizes were great and good pricing. Would recommend.

Starters were cheese souffle and tartiflette. Both were lovely. Main were duck confit braised oxtail. Again both were nice. Depth of flavour was not as good as Rustique in York but was still good and we'd definitely come back.

Steak and ale pie was lovely, crust was just thick enough and plenty of filling. The burger was homemade. Real ground beef with cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato and bacon. It came with real onion rings and a choice of chips or fries. Chips were crispy and well seasoned.
