Los Altos Mexican Restaurant
MexicanTacos
I tried Los Altos after a recommendation from a friend. The service was great and our waiter was very friendly. The free chips and salsa were decent-no complaints but also not super memorable. I got the birria tacos and AJ got the carnitas. The meat was juicy, flavorful, and cooked well. I would have liked a little more cheese on my tacos (but I also just love cheese). We both thought the rice and beans were the best we’ve had in the area. Prices were good for the quality and amount of good. I’m excited to go back and try more! They also have a margarita menu with fun flavors and toppings. Could be fun for a party!

Fish & Chips
Fish and chips! I always love fish and chips. These came from a food truck outside of bomgaars. The breading was crispy and the sauces were flavorful. I wasn’t blown away by the fish itself but it wasn’t bad. I found the texture a little funky, with some bites having a bit tougher texture. Overall not bad for a food truck!

🇺🇸 Sioux Falls
Johnny Carino's
ItalianPasta
We decided to try Johnny Carino’s after seeing it ranked #1 for Italian restaurants in Sioux Falls. I was expecting the food to be similar to Olive Garden, but hopefully with slightly higher quality and taste due to the increased prices. Unfortunately, my Fettuccine Alfredo tasted exactly like the kind you could make at home with jar sauce. The free bread came with a garlic oil dip that was pretty solid. Overall, it wasn’t bad but wasn’t good. Probably wouldn’t come back. Im not sure how it made #1 on the list.
