Homegrown alfalfa sprouts. Known for lowering cholesterol levels in the stomach and aids in blood sugar management as well as the menopause who knew? Rich in, vitamins and nutrients Soak a couple of tablespoons or a tablespoon of afalfa seeds overnight, then put into a sprouter - rinse morning and night- and in a couple of days you will find full blown growth as seen in the photo. So much more cost-effective making it at home.

One of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long while. The fish which was haddock cooked to perfection , melt in your mouth tender, crispy batter and and served with homemade tartar sauce with mushy peas. A British classic The grilled lemon is superb touch adding sweet lemon flavour onto the fish . Sublime.

The making of kimchi Salted napa cabbage with aubergine spring onions and I can’t remember what else with home-made kimchi pepper marinade. Will post a picture of the made. Great natural probiotics for the stomach and the great accompaniment to all styles of Oriental food. It’s very addictive

Fusion
A swift gluten-free pack lunch made with corn couscous- roasted squash, celery, black olives, parsley and capers dressed in a lemon and olive oil dressing. A small side of beans with walnut oil a few slices of chorizo and manchega cheese. One of the lunches was a gift for a friend as a thank you for collecting an armchair for me .

Homemade radish cake, also known as yam cake as well. It’s gluten-free made with rice flour and corned flour combined . It’s not quite fiddly to make, but well worth - it’s a bit a long process but if you enjoy cooking, it’s not a big deal. Once you make a batch, though you’ve got quite a bit to store in the freezer . Which is great as you can just pre-slice them and pan fry it when you want to eat it. Absolutely delicious .
