Their turnip cakes with XO sauce (pictured) are my favorite here, but they do many things well and some things not so well. Pan fried noodles and salt and pepper options are reliably good. Most things I have tried are good but here are some that I wouldn't order again - soup dumplings, eggplant and salted fish with minced pork.

This is the 3rd time I've eaten here and will likely be the last. I tried other things before and it was always lackluster. Today I came here after the dentist specifically because Turner's isn't open yet and I wanted clam chowder. I was hoping that because they have the same owners that they may have the same chowder. Big nope.I got wings because they were $1/wing on Wednesdays and I do not like the flavor at all. Tastes like fake smoke, which I'm not a fan of at all. Maybe Buffalo wings would have been better but since I don't love those, I went with plain with ranch for dipping. Plain is plain. Not a spec of seasoning to be tasted except this fake smoke taste. I got deviled eggs because they were $4 and supposed to have smoked salmon, and maybe it has that but it doesn't taste or look like it. Tastes like an eggy smoked whitefish spread. It's fine but not delicious, which is how I would describe everything I've eaten here. The first time I was here I had a Caesar salad and it was the best thing I've eaten here after several meals. I keep wanting to give it a chance and it keeps disappointing.

Went with Z's family and we tried so many things and everything was delicious. I had the Daily Double with perfect over easy eggs and nice, thick breakfast sausages, sweet potato home fries, and pancakes with cinnamon sugar butter. Had the Nutella iced latte to drink and it was really good. Also on the table were crab cake eggs Benedict, fried green tomatoes, Elvis waffle, hash eggs Benedict, strawberries and cream French toast, and Cubano sandwich. I tried everything except the Cubano and everything was so good. The sweet things were not cloyingly sweet, but if you wanted more sweetness, you had extra toppings you can add. Unfortunately, I didn't take food pics, only the giant crochet bacon and egg on the wall.
