Sauces are AMAZING. And they’re simply mayonnaises with mixing.
Yellow: with mustard.
Red: garlic, paprika, chili powder. DANK

French onion soup — key is caramelized onion. Bread is soaked and with the cheese.
Deviled eggs with simple mayonnaise. Just okay.
Pork chops — have an acidity — I think like an apple cider vinegar. Phenomenal
Potatoes — really straightforward with green onion and parsley. I think it’s the same Mayo butter thing that the eggs had. Okay, nothing fancy but I don’t think it’s meant to be.

Amazing fatty flavor. BOTH Chicken and fat. I think wrapping it in the leaf is critical.
Baked bao has honey glaze on top. Filling good balance of sweet with the naturally fatty pork. Verry light fluffy dough.

It was really good, but I think the vanilla protein powder kind of overpowered everything. Also. That small bit of peanut butter was over HALF the calories? That’s crazy to me.
Very filling though, even just the 3 pancakes I had I couldn’t finish. That’s the thing. Certain meals are high calorie, but it’s about how those calories make you feel that counts. I know the protein and the fiber of the oats is going to keep me full for hours.
Overall I’m finding that keeping track of the calories, but instead keep a mindset of “no food is bad” has been fantastic. I just need to budget it into my overall calorie goal.
I was a bit hesitant to add the maple syrup at first because I always have the mind “extra sugar bad.” But from a satisfaction side, I think the maple syrup is critical. And if you think about it from a long term diet perspective, you’re just going to end up with cravings if you restrict certain foods. 60 calories to make this meal INTENSELY satisfying is 100% worth it.

Put chicken on high heat pan that was let warm up until smoking (carbon steel). Kept it on high throughout the cooking process. The chat I got on it was just phenomenal.
Made a homemade bbq sauce using homemade ketchup, thickened on the stove. I probably could have let it thicken up more but the taste was impeccable with the char on the chicken.
I can’t believe how few calories 0% fat yogurt has, and is a fantastic pairing to the potato, which I covered in olive oil and baked for ~45 mins in the oven with salt and pepper in aluminum foil. Really good.

Very good, with the cheese
Incredibly filling — feeling full throughout the day
Garlic added after the eggs went in was actually really good. I guess a bit raw is good
Paprika on the potatoes
My body kind of wanted more fate, but the cheese was a perfect bite of fat. Could instead add some more oil and replace the cheese with it

Asian Fusion
Too much soy sauce (salt)
Could use a sweet element
Chicken cooked well since it’s a braise. Chicken actually really good. A bit burnt in one side though
Green onions good in it
Garlic should be in smaller pieces and toasted more
For broccolini, I should have cooked until golden brown on one side THEN added the garlic. Adding garlic too soon meant I needed to pull it off the heat before it could crisp up. If necessary, can also add water until cooked.
Still hungry for a carb. Really should be over some good rice

Best parts were the kidney beans and green peas. Slight sweetness
Not enough protein, so wasn’t very filling. Just wanted more

Fries with peanut sauce and white onion
— pretty darned good, but honestly was carried by the peanuts sauce onion combo.
— Mayo was bland
Stroopwaffle
— speckaloos — best one. Was like holidays in Germany in a bite. Learn more about it. Nutmeg? Cinnamon?
— hazelnut
— original
— waffle cone with caramel in middle
Clearly unhealthy lmao

Baked overnight oats
— love the warmness
— jelly for sweetness
— plain Greek yogurt is good on top — warmed
— oats themselves may have some brown sugar, but really just tasting the seediness of the sunflowers which are amazing
— sunflower seeds work AMAZINGLY
— outside of strawberry is warmed, they definitely throw the whole thing in the oven for a small while
— not sure what the brownish berry is but it’s good too
— honestly reminds me of a nutty merrianberry pie
— personally not a crazy huge fan of pumpkin seeds or whatever the green seeds are. Too much crunch without much flavor. Maybe good for health though

Sandwich
- parham (essentially prosciutto)
- arugula with the saltiness almost reminds me of American dream
— also has some tomato and mushroom paste sauce
- the vinaigrette really adds some nice zing and tangyness
— I actually think it’s just a balsamic vinegar — very thick.

Arugula is critical
Chives add a good layer
Walnuts are great in it and give a good crunch
Very acidic but also kind of sweet vinaigrette
- lemony
Whole block of grilled feta adds a great feeling of substance
- feta could be more crisp
Really enjoy the sweetness of these semi-dried grapes
Not sure what the yellow stuff is but I think it’s banana pepper? Just a HINT of spice gives great depth of flavor
Lentils at the bottom are hearty, have soaked up a lot of sweetness probably from being cooked with the grapes or something
The sweetness of the lentils is honestly critical to give yourself a break from the acidity of the vinaigrette
Lentils add a good bit of heartiness, I just wish they weren’t all at the bottom like a second meal

Overall felt unbalanced. Too much fat, not enough variety of texture. Could use less lasagna and the byte of some crisp veggies or a salad with nuts.
Somehow work some acidity in there too with a salad

Arugula and almost cream cheesy dressing
No it’s a mayonaise I think with garlic. Sooo good
Mixed with the chicken juices
Green onion
Charred chicken is critical — no sauce on it
Super tangy
Pickle for acidity
Pita sprinkled with paprika. From another restaurant I’m thinking also sumac and cumin
