Didn't know that this place received a Michelin Star. Classic Halal Beef noodles that are delicious. The beef wraps and 豆苗 are also delicious. Great pricing too!

Probably the best BBQ joint in Taipei.

Wow! This is some old school, traditional Taiwanese old, old school hot pot. If you like intestines, 豬血糕 and the traditional Taiwanese 麻辣火鍋 this place is great. Decor is also from old school Taipei. People go there for the food, not the ambiance.

This place just does one thing and one thing only - ramen! It's pretty good too. I never knew there were so many choices as you can select and adjust for everything. Noodle firmness, broth strength, different ramen toppings and ingredients I personally feel it's choice overload as in a Ramen novice. Damn good ramen. I got the corn and butter ramen - a first and super tasty.

Pretty good Omakase sets for NTD2K, 3K and 5K. Creative stuff they bring out.

This is a great place to go if you want fresh seafood. Always packed so make reservations early. Chinese style, large group banquet place.

This is a little hole in the wall restaurant in Dazhi. These pictures do not do it justice as I got there late and all the good food was eaten. It's probably the best, authentic Taiwanese food. It's a place that only locals who love in the area know as it's so non descript. Reservations definitely needed.

This is my good friend Al's go to Shabu Shabu hot pot place. It's pretty no frills decoration but always packed. Now I know why. The quality of the meat is amazing and CP value great too. If you want a no frills hot pot and you are in Dazhi this is the place to go.

This place is amazing. It's like a roller coaster adventure meal. The best Teppanyki I've had hands down. So many dishes and presented so exquisitely. All the dishes - appetizer, soup, salad, main course, second main course, third main course, dessert, another dessert, everything so good. The Wagyu beef steak was the best Wagyu I've ever had and they cook half at a time because "it's best served warm" so they only want you to have the absolute best experience eating it. The only negative thing I can say is there was just too much food. I actually managed to eat everything and I was full for the entire next day. Service is impeccable. Kamekona only has 2 tables and seats at most 10 people at each table so you know they have to be good. This is a place you can't just walk in and need to make reservations as it's booked full most evenings. I'll go back again for sure. A great "special occasion" restaurant.

This little Taiwanese breakfast spot is my favorite. It's basically an upscale version of 美而美 and had nice comfy seating. They have this double burger that is just amazing. The bun is like a flaky croissant style and the taste is like In N Out meets a McDonald's double cheeseburger. Never quite had a burger looks that before but I really, really like it. For NT80 it's quite the deal. My kids love it as they have all sorts of fun snacks / lunch for kids like toast, strawberry juice etc... One thing they have which I really like is cranberry juice which I can't find in Taiwan. Things up for a quick easy mall in the morning / lunch. It's closed after 2:30 everyday.

Pretty good lunch special. The raw beef salad is surprisingly good. Burger decent.

This place has been open for 70 years and serves only one thing - 混沌. There is just one thing on the menu and it's delicious. For one NT70 for 10. My son who is super picky eater at 12+.

This place was on a list of recommended Taiwanese restaurants in Hualien. It was ok. Their goose (which is what they are known for) was not any better than Goose Professor in Taipei. Other dishes ok but nothing to write home about. Kind of disappointing because this was our first place we ate at in Hualien.

Little Vietnamese restaurant on Xinyi near Da An Park. No frills tiny store with about 8 tables. The chả giò really good. Pho is OK for Taiwan (better than Shanghai) but nothing as good as Vietnam. Kids really love it.

Great 熱炒餐廳 on 市民大道。 Festive and good value!

Great Auusie style burger close to Minquan MRT station. The place is a tiny little beer pin tucked in an alley. Was craving a burger and decided to check it out and it didn't disappoint! Only issue is that the beet drips a lot as the burger is quite soggy afterwards. It's super delicious though!

Ok. This place was there bomb for seafood. The female crab is a must. Oysters with peanuts. Actually all the food in the photos amazing. If you like fresh seafood, this is the place to go and sit on the 3rd floor for the rooftop view.

Not bad. Tastes like Dairy Queen, A & W Burger Joint from days past. Kind of greasy as they are freshly made and have a Five Guys kind of feel to the burger.

I think we found our go to nearby family restaurant. Has everything for super reasonable prices.

Michelin starred Yakiniku restaurant in A9. If you want the best quality meat, go here. It ain't cheap tough but it's delicious. Our meal for 3 was about $8K

Great Japanese restaurant in Thao Dien

Great restaurant by the same owner that created Sweat Pea Cafe. This is a Fast Casual restaurant so no waiters or table service. Good is really good. This is probably one of the best burgers in Taipei.

Whoah. We went to this place simply because it was close to work and my friend wanted Mala hot pot. No expectations at all but this place blew then away. Food - amazing. Quality of the beef, pork and shrimp top shelf. They gave us some shrimp on a stick and the shrimp were still alive which scared the shit out of is when trying to put the shrimp in the hot pot. Staff so attentive and friendly. They even had a smoking pork flower bouquet. Over the top.
