Very good deli food! I would definitely recommend the Arancinos (riceballa with spinach, mushrooms, etc.) and the Sfincione (sicilian focaccia). Loved also the homemade lemonade!

Khmai Cambodian Fine Dining
Cambodian
Food was really great at Khmai! We shared the fried pork belly … tasty and perfectly cooked! Then the noodles and to finish the marinated ribeye! Everything was perfectly seasoned … you could teste sweet, sour and spice! And I forgot to start they actually welcomed us with bread and lemongrass spices!

Amazing meal! The wood-fired oven adds a lot of flavor on everything! We were welcomed with a vodka cocktail on the house and some chips with caviar! We had oyster and grilled octopus as a starter … both delicious! Then we enjoyed the Japanese Wagyu experience … the meat melted in your mouth and the wasabi add was fantastic! We also add the fries and the sautéed spinach as a side … the spinach were simply delicious! The place is definitely priced but worth!

Schwartz's Deli
Sandwiches
Great Deli! We tried the Schwartz poutine and the Schwartz sandwich … both really good! You will need to wait for a line but it goes really fast, especially if you are a party of 2 … lil more complicated if you are a party of 4 or 6. Expect to be seated at a table with others as they tend to maximize the space to get everyone seated!

Best poutine ever … crispy fries and delicious cheese! So many options you can always find what you like! Good selection of local beers and soft drinks! The line is super long and scary (we probably had 50 people ahead of us) but it went so fast … we were seated in less than 15 mins and had food in 10 mins!

Great brewery with visible taproom and honestly one of the healthiest bar food we ever had … beef tartare, grilled halloumi cheese, smoked salmon bites and weary grilled cheese sandwich. All recommended!

🇺🇸 Las Vegas
Gordon Ramsay Hell's Kitchen
American
Quick trip in Vegas and my husband really wanted to try the Hells Kitchen as he is a fan of Gordon Ramsey! I would say that the steak tartare and the sticky toffee pudding were mind-blowing (btw the sticky toffee pudding was offered by our waitress as she was the kindest human being in the world and she truly wanted to make sure we tried the dessert)! The pan seared scallops and the beef Wellington (which is the signature dish) were good but a step behind the tartare and the desert … the beef Wellington was a delicious piece of meat and very tender … but not super tasty! The cocktails were ok … we had the Gordon notes and the ditches … nothing memorable!

Gaijin
JapaneseOkonomiyaki
Gaijin is great … the food is fantastic! True street Japanese food!!! Their okonomiyaki pancakes are truly delicious … we tried the octopus and the smoked white fish. Yesterday, we attended the cherry blossom tasting menu with a special drink pairing from Kombini and Kampai. Very good menu! Only thing is that it is located in proximity of the metro station and it can get loud if you dine outside!

Black Barrel Tavern - WEST LOOP
American
Black barrel west loop is always busy and for a good reason! George, the main manager, is simply amazing, always find you a seat even at the most busy times! They serve bar food, but is pretty good! For example this time we ordered calamari and they were super tender and perfectly fried! Good list of beers in draft and the best part is that you can bring your dog in … George will immediately help your dog with a bowl of fresh water and a little snack / treat!

Girls brunch at Cira today was a success! Their brunch menu is limited but it has everything you could desire both on the sweet and savory side! Delicious salmon and avocado toasts if you want to be on the healthy side! Got a great mezcal drink too! No wait time and they seated us exactly at the time of the reservation!

Waffles is a convenient place to go! The food is always good, we love their breakfast and the portions are huge. Their breakfast potatoes are amazing and both skillets and pancakes are really good. Since last year they now also have booze so you will not miss out on a mimosas or a Bloody Mary!

LÝRA
Greek
Very good experience at Lyra! First of all, in a Friday night they got as seated exactly at the time of the reservation … this does not happen often in Chicago. Good choice of Greek wines on the menu we went with a classic assyrthico from Santos wineries (brought back good memories from our nmhoneymoon in Santorini!). For the meal … definitely the Lamb Gyros … delicious … very tasty and a lot of food … you will definitely have more to take away! The tuna tartare and the 2-way cooked oysters were good too, but the lamb gyros was definitely top! The vibe is good, a little loud but good for a Friday night!

Artopolis Bakery, Cafe & Agora
Greek
Amazing Greek bakery … Artopolis has the vibe of a coffee place, lot of tables and good atmosphere. Greek sweets are great we tried both their baklava and kataifi. Their pies are special and our fav is the spinach and feta … traditional and delicious. We love the coffee bar and alternate double espresso or mocha in the winter and the the espresso freddo … must have on summers. They also have drinks and cocktails if you are up for it!

JapaneseSushi
Great vibe at Izakaya … it feels your are in a street bar in Tokyo! We tried multiple plates across the full menu. We started with the bluefin tuna sashimi (delicious … but portions are small), then made our own spicy octopus sushi (think about your own sushi taco), then switched to the meat friend rice with eggplants and to finish the most famous item in the menu .. the momo royale ( delicious burger in a fried bao bun). All with a Sapporo (rice beer) and a sake flight!!!!

Lone Wolf
American
Lone Wolf is a classic brewery … you sit where you want, you order at the bar and serve water by yourself. No table service. Their beer selection on draft is exclusive of key Three Floyd’s beers and then classic US beers on bottle / can. Food options are very limited only tamales from the Chicago famous Tamale Guy. They come in packs of 6 (chicken or pork) … actually quite good! Beers are a little hoppy despite we got a winter lager and a Pilsner.
