Started with clam chowder. Reasonably priced and heavy on the well cooked clams. Flavor of the soup was good but not extraordinary. Large buttered lobster roll was $38 but packed FULL of lobster. Unsure what I was expecting, but could’ve benefited from herb butter on the lobster or some accompaniment on the roll. Would come back with family and try the Mayo roll too.

Cannolis were BOMB. We got one, ends chocolate dipped, filled with traditional ricotta cream, and topped with chocolate chips. Other one was chocolate dipped, filled with with vanilla custard, topped with pistachios. Abby loved the traditional, I loved the vanilla custard. We also got an eclair which was good, not great.

Mushroom risotto was one of the best bites of the trip. Very flavorful, seasoned well, and not over cooked. And HELLA different types of more exotic mushrooms (not jut white and portables bois here). We split a portion and it was plenty. Raviolo de ouovo was UNBELIEVABLE. Small portion but well worth it. Egg yolk was running and sauce was heavenly, very rosemary heavy. Raviolini with duck was also amazing and the chestnut really came through nicely. Unfortunately, very heavily salted. Creme brûlée was good and not too sweet, made with vanilla bean and 🤌🤌. The brownies that accompanied the dessert were fine at best.

Of the two spots we got clam chowder (this and James Hook and Co. ) , this was probably the better of the two. Super creamy and seasoned well. Fries dipped in curry sauce also very yummy. Perfect cold, raining weather meal.

Went for happy hour which was 11:30-8 😍. Started with cocktails. Clarified milk cocktail with whiskey and rum was AMAZING. Will need to revisit for this alone. We ordered deviled eggs, half with bacon, half with pickled green tomatoes (latter was better). Ham and cheese hush puppies were good, probably not worth ordering again. Wings had an amazing rub on them and the white sauce was heavenly. Fries from the burger were probably the star of this meal.

Went for happy hour— great price on everything. Oysters were reasonably priced and salty (yum). The broth from the mussels was SO GOOD. Bartender was nice and offered extra bread for dipping. Worth revisiting for happy hours!
