馃嚘馃嚭 Ballarat Central
Babae
Australian
We had the most beautiful Valentine鈥檚 Day dinner at Babae in Ballarat. The food was absolutely exceptional, every dish was thoughtfully prepared, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can tell so much care goes into what they do. Despite it being Valentine鈥檚 Day, the atmosphere felt calm and intimate. It鈥檚 a small restaurant, but that鈥檚 part of its charm, it felt like a little oasis away from everything else. The service was attentive without being intrusive, warm and genuinely welcoming. We also loved being able to see the chef in action in the open kitchen, it added such a special touch to the experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just when you want an incredible dining experience. We鈥檒l definitely be back.

Beverly
Australian
The food at Beverly was absolutely spot on, fresh, vibrant and beautifully done, but the service really dragged the afternoon down. It felt like we鈥檇 been parked in no man鈥檚 land; staff were friendly enough when they appeared, but the waits in between were so long we ended up giving up. We asked for dessert menus and were ready for another bottle of wine, but after sitting there with no follow-up, we decided to just leave. For a place serving food this good, at this price point, the lack of attention was disappointing.

Hawker Hall

Hawker Hall nailed it! Fantastic service, excellent food, and a Singapore Festival vibe that made the night feel special. Their twist on prawn toast was exceptional, and we loved taking home what we couldn鈥檛 finish along with sipping personalised cocktails. Truly a lovely experience!

Has a nice atmosphere, and the service was friendly, though not particularly attentive. The food was okay, but unfortunately, the pasta was overcooked, and the seasoning in the dish I ordered didn鈥檛 quite hit the mark. While the menu has potential, the execution could be improved. It wasn鈥檛 a bad experience, but it also wasn鈥檛 particularly memorable.

Overall, a lovely dining experience with friendly service and a charming venue. While the calamari was disappointing, everything else was absolutely delicious. The cocktails, served on a tray with flower petals, were a sweet and thoughtful touch that added to the ambiance.

Stokehouse St Kilda
Australian
Stokehouse Upstairs offers a stunning view and friendly staff, making for an enjoyable dining experience. While they did forget one of our dishes, the potato cakes were a standout, and all the mains were fantastic. Dessert, though with a limited selection, was also delicious. Be prepared for the higher price point, but overall, it鈥檚 worth it for a special occasion.

Cap Karoso Beach Club was a fantastic spot for both breakfast and lunch during our stay at the resort. The pastries were simply the best I鈥檝e ever had鈥攆laky, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Lunch was equally impressive, with a range of flavorful dishes that complemented the stunning beachside setting. The cocktails were top-notch, adding a perfect touch to the meal. Overall, outstanding food and drinks in a beautiful location.

Hotel & Restaurant Laurin
Italian
We enjoyed breakfast, lunch, and dinner, dining on the balcony overlooking the lake, which added a picturesque touch to each meal. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, and the service was consistently attentive and friendly. The elegant and comfortable ambiance made it a great spot to savor meals without leaving the hotel. Overall, a convenient and enjoyable option for guests.
