Everything a very good temperature, and the wine was pleasant. Husband’s crab cakes then venison and black pudding pie thingie were very good. Creme brulee slightly separated but tasty My request for no garlic resulted in a restricted menu (that was a new experience, especially for a supposedly fresh restaurant!) which meant I couldn’t have my first choices. Good quality prawns but a tad overcooked, and no alternative to the garlicky sauce offered - just no sauce! Then goat’s cheese with veg, was good but nothing amazing. Panacotta ok. Slightly disappointed as I don’t expect a high quality restaurant to be dependent on an easy flavour enhancer such as garlic. Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable evening.
