Three trips in a week, two on the same day!

Good coffee and food. Just a bit noisy and hot.

Everything a very good temperature, and the wine was pleasant. Husband’s crab cakes then venison and black pudding pie thingie were very good. Creme brulee slightly separated but tasty My request for no garlic resulted in a restricted menu (that was a new experience, especially for a supposedly fresh restaurant!) which meant I couldn’t have my first choices. Good quality prawns but a tad overcooked, and no alternative to the garlicky sauce offered - just no sauce! Then goat’s cheese with veg, was good but nothing amazing. Panacotta ok. Slightly disappointed as I don’t expect a high quality restaurant to be dependent on an easy flavour enhancer such as garlic. Nevertheless it was a very enjoyable evening.

Gyoza, agedashi dofu, tonkotsu ramen and sushi set with green tea. Best Japanese food we have had outside Japan (apart from the home delivery make at home ramen place). Great gyoza and tofu, tonkotsu and sushi pretty good. Green tea was British style, unfortunately… hot towel and hashi rest and small plates missing, which was a bit weird!!
