Legit Bun Rieu with crab soup. Mint, cilantro, basil. Soup tasted good but a little on the bland side. Meatball had crab shells in it. Good bowl but ben tre does better bun rieu imo. $14.95 here. Shrimp want bad but was extra.

Two visits in two days. Bun bo hue felt more like pho bo with added lemongrass chili oil on top. It was still good but for bun bo hue I’d want more flavors of lemongrass and shrimp etc. also they didn’t have mint or other herbs (only basil, bean sprouts, jalapeño, lime) Ham tasted very good. Love their service, too. Very friendly and fast and clean.

Very good Khao Soi. Well presented (almost western style?) but tastes like really good authentic Khao Soi. A bit pricey but service was great and nice atmosphere. Will be back with family.

It was good. Nothing special. Sweet pork-ish broth + tons of msg + ok seafood. Light and satisfying but not for me.

Bun Rieu. Yum!! Strong and heavy but the meatballs were a jewel. Similar in experience with their bun bo hue but this one hits stronger (in both good and bad ways). No work focus after this.

The broth was hearty and fairly rich and complex. Beef was all very good. Everything well combined. My new favorite place. Freezing cold inside but not a real complaint. Will come back again for sure. 4.5/5

My favorite bun bo hue. I think they use their pho base for this so the broth is rich with beef flavors. But won’t really beat a great bowl of pho. Shame their millbrae store doesn’t have ca ri ga. Have to go to their ssf store.

Nothing special. Stronger spice, sweet broth, animal flavor a bit too strong for my taste. Brisket was great.

Pho de Nguyen でもbun no hueを。美味しかったけどBen Treが遙か上。

Kevin系では美味しい方だった。安いは偉い。Tendenはややくさめだけど気にならないくらい。

This is the place where I met pho for the first time in my life. Obviously my pho preference has since been influenced by my first bowl, but when I came back to this place after 15 years in 2021, it didn’t disappoint me. The pho here is kind of rough, with lots of imperfections. The broth is a bit too dark in color with some unwanted flavor (like overcooking the broth or cooked blood sort) and tendon/tripe could use more thorough flavor cleaning, but overall the balance of spice, flavor, and umami is, it’s just right for me. It can be better, but still it’s great. やっぱ好みの味。旨み＞＞香り、スープ黒め、雑味は多い？好みだけど完成度低い、Tripe, tendonは臭み強くてちょっと。スープ美味いが。Pho HoaよかDaisyとかのがずっといいが、ここしかなくても十分満足。

This used to be my go-to pho place when I lived in LA long time ago. Back then this place was called Pho Hoa, but apparently they changed the name multiple times (probably because of them change in owners?) and it’s called Pho Daisy in 2021. I came back after 10 years but I think they kept the recipe, and the pho is still one of the best in SoCal. The broth is clear and rich in umami and flavors, and there’s nothing unnecessary, which makes this pho great. Simple and minimalist, with all the really good pho stuff. やっぱり美味しい！昔ほど感動的ではなくなった？けど旨み甘み強くてスープは透き通り白、ハーブ弱い、すごい美味い。

The combination pho was pretty good. It wasn’t extraordinary but well above average. Great service and friendly staff. I will come back for sure. 美味しい。香り控えめあっさりだけど旨味十分。肉は普通。サービスいい感じ。特別ないけどまた行くかも。Phuong Trang2回目次第。

This is easily the best pho place in San Diego! I’ve been to more than ten pho restaurants in the area, but I kept coming back to Pho Hoa. It’s simple, fast, and incredibly satisfying. The broth is less intense in spices, stronger in umami. 美味い。塩っぱめ、旨みやや控えめ、でもすごく美味い。遠いけど広い、サービス早い。好き。（結局１０月３回行った）
