Thai
My kinda salad, chicken w sauce was v tasty. Pad see ew was nice - beef felt worth. Was a little too sweet for me taste but was still better than local places. Thai ice tea wasn’t too flavorful but was craving it. Green curry mussel tasted like curry - nothing too crazy but mussel was $2.50 more from regular green curry

$7 for a simple meal. It fills me up and taste exactly how I imagine it so can’t complain. I feel like they gave more meat in the past but daijoubu

Prob the best AYCE in chicago. They allow 3 pieces of sashimi per roll and the quality for AYCE is good! I got yellow tail and red snapper for my first order to see if it had a fishy taste but they were just fine. Lots of appetizer choices here, with my favorite being fried scallops. Tasted off this time but I enjoyed them still. The crispy calamari were nice and crunchy! A good surprise. Takoyaki is what I expect for takoyaki, so for an AYCE place it’s nice!

KINTON RAMEN
JapaneseNoodles
Gave it a great because I had low expectations and they weren’t as bad as I thought. Spicy pork garlic had good flavor, and the thick noodles absorbed the flavor well. Did a second round of thin noodles and was disappointed. Friend had the miso and it was a very subtle taste. Meat was decent, but nothing crazy. Thought about wasabi meat. Don’t know if I would come back knowing wasabi is close, but will have to try kizuki to know which one is better between the two Ks

Picante Taqueria
MexicanTacos
Nothing too special about these tacos. This was $14~ so I did feel like it was a lot for tacos that weren’t special. Chorizo prob had the most flavor, but steak and pork weren’t that good. Good first spot to try in the neighborhood tho!

The Wormhole Coffee
Coffee Shop
First coffee shop stop of mang now that I live in wicker. This was a black tea, they told me to leave it in for 5 mins and thought it was bland. Burned my tongue too bc water was so hot. Prob shouldn’t do tea here but might give it another shot one day

If it was just the burger this would be a thumbs down. So bland for a “wagyu” burger and it gave me a weird reaction in my mouth. Truffle fries and bone marrow is only reason it’s not. I imagine if I got a regular burger this would be a two thumbs

Cha shu ramen. Comes with 13 pieces of meat. I added an egg. The soup was simple and tasteful. Meats are above average so having 13 of them is a steal in my book

Spacca Napoli Pizzeria
Pizza
My standards of pizza are low so it felt too expensive. Meatballs tasted like meatballs. Pizza was a 7.3 in my book tho so it was good. Hard to justify I paid $16 for it in my head

KFC. Not as Crispy as others. Spicy sauce was flavorful, but will get spicier one next time to fully judge. The bbq and black pepper sauce were disappointing. Gave fries on the house! Nothing special about them however sadly. Will give it another shot and I imagine will be 2 thumbs up next time smile
